Laminate
Laminate is another popular choice for many, as this product is laid on a floating system so can overcome a lot of subfloor issues.
It is a MDF board system with a printed design and wear layer on the surface. The system is usually a click, or lock system so the planks fit together like a jigsaw puzzle.
Designs have increased over the years, to add more texture to the planks to give the appearance and feel of natural wood.
The characteristics of the floating system mean that the flooring is able to expand and contract with the temperatures of your home, this requires a small gap to be left around the perimeter of your room; this gap can either be hidden under skirting, or with the use of a bead trim called Scotia to fit to existing skirting.
Sample swatches are available in our showroom for more inspiration and colour/design options.
